Mike Steel started his DJ career at the age of 15. He established himself in the famous Old Kent Road playing at venues like the Drovers, Frog & Nightgown, Gin Palace & Dun Cow to name just a few. He then went onto the West End with residencies at Hombres, Moonlighting & Vogue.
He then took on Bromley with a 19 year residency at Bibas, also played at Jazzmins, Lloyds, Rumours and the Bridge Bar. He was then lured to the Crawley area and had 3 year residencies at Six Degress Nightclub & DeJa Vu respectively.
Mike has had an established career in Radio starting out in hospital radio at Dulwich & Bromley. He then had a 10 year reign in the 80’s with the legendary LWR Radio where his pirate career was launched. He then went on to DJ for Twilight Radio, Sky Radio and West End Radio.
Now Mike brings his experience, music knowledge, mixing and broadcasting skills to SunriseFM every Tuesday from 6-8pm. Furthermore, Mike is now a renowned music producer for www.themashup.co.uk where his weekly mashups are featured. You can hear many of his mashups on SunriseFM and on his weekly show.
